Earlier this month was World Oceans Day. And as every year we are ready to talk about the facts. We’ve said it before but by 2050, it is estimated that we will have more plastic in the ocean by weight than fish. How is that even possible? Well, you know how. Single-use plastics. They are single-handedly killing our ocean life as microplastics filter into all marine life. And because fish are consuming microplastics and many of us eat fish, we are eating microplastics as well.
So, in the spirit of combating single-use plastic consumption in order to defend our oceans, we’d like to re-introduce you to the Soma Travel Straw – our solution to the ubiquitous single-use plastic straw.

We created this product so we all can enjoy the clean taste of our beverages while helping to keep single-use plastic out of the oceans. Plastic straws aren’t outlawed everywhere yet, but this is our head start.
