Your Best Brew

Our coffee routine is one of the best parts of our day. And from time to time, we like to change it up -- for the season, for our health or just for fun.
- On a brisk day, there’s nothing like adding some spice to the grounds for depth and a bit of comfort. We love cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg or cardamom for their flavor as well as health benefits. A quarter or eighth teaspoon per cup goes a long way.
- When the sunshine calls for iced coffee, coffee ice cubes are key, preventing dilution and loss of flavor.
- We’re also big fans of flavored simple syrups. Just bring to a boil 1 parts sugar and 1 parts water in a saucepan. Then add your flavor (can we suggest fresh vanilla bean, lavender, or orange peel?), stir and simmer. When the sugar has completely dissolved, allow to cool.
- And just a quick tip: if your coffee is ever bitter, a pinch of salt should do the trick.
